ART BOOKS FAIRS

The Artist and The Others supports artists during their career also by promoting their work on a local and international level.

The Artist and The Others strongly believes in artists’ publishing not only as a means for delivering high quality and creative artworks to the general public, but also as a potential source of income for artists. Being an independent publisher itself, the Foundation has developed this project with the aim to foster public’s awareness about art books, support independent publishing artists and promote their books by participating at international Art Book Fairs.

In 2019, The Artist and The Others participated at its first international art book fair Super Books (10-11 May) at the Haus der Kunst in Munich (Germany), where we exhibited artistic publications and e-zines by talented artists from Maastricht: Vera Gulikers, Miriam Sentler, Sanne Vaassen, Anne Büscher, Tetsuro Miyazaki, Joep Vossebeld, Nowhere Collective, Eleni Kamma Chen Jhen and Nathalie Brans.

Thanks to this participation, we are happy to say that the book of Vera Gulikers and Chen Jhen are now part of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek collection.

In 2020 we participated at

Fruit Independent Art book Fair: Enjoy the live session.
