Fun.
“I feel privileged and very lucky to call myself a working illustrator. But balancing drawing for work and drawing for myself can get very tricky. So it’s important for me to maintain a sense of humour, fun and light-heartedness in what I do. If my work makes you chuckle or brightens your mood then I feel like it has served a purpose.
Lately I’ve become a huge fan of pen and ink. I love to bring my ideas to life with the fine, fine lines of a dip pen scratching across paper with a few drops of ink tucked inside it.
I’ve also started slapping odd captions over my illustrations and sketches. Giving them uncommon names, or strange stories. I’m not sure where it is all leading to but I’m definitely having fun and that’s what matters to me.”
Making a smile on my face end switching on my imagination; those are the collateral effects of Jeffrey’s sketches. Original characters with always something unpredictable enlightened my curiosity about the drawings of this cool Australian illustrator.
Almost every morning I, and maybe also you, freedom my imagination by enjoying one of Jeffrey’s little artworks and starting to create stories in my mind. It’s so nice to just create and think! I’ve never know how the story will end, but this is the interesting part, just enjoy the moment and having fun… while the future will come!
