Join Common Knowledge #26 on Tuesday March 22th!
During this evening the Jan van Eyck academy will open its doors to host us for a panel discussion on the balance between Art and Finance:
‘Subsidizing culture, how to show the return of investment ?’.
We would like to welcome you to exchange your knowledge and experience by contributing to a panel discussion which aims to highlight the different point of views about this current topic. Therefore we have invited some speakers from the educational and governmental sector.
The panelists invited are:

Rachel Pownall, professor in art and finance at the University of Maastricht. She specializes in Art finance and alternative investments. Together with Anouk Duivenvoorden, she is working on the Made2Measure project focused on the forming of a scientific background for new policies for cultural industries in Maastricht. Rachel and Anouk will present their result gained so far.
Huib Haye van der Werf, head artistic program at the Jan van Eyck, and curator who also operates in project management, government liaison and freelances as a writer.
