“Treescape”- Kim Gromoll

Often I set out into nature without a specific goal in mind. Simply to be guided by that which happens to come across my path and the unexpected natural objects that catch my attention and trigger my curiosity. My findings are brought back home as new additions for my collections. 

“Treescape” is a pair of Risoprints showing a part of a tree that I encountered during my travel in Indonesia. In this particular moment I was drawn to the almost symbiotic gathering of organisms on this very tree. As various lichen, insects, webs, plants and leaves wrap around the bark beautiful patterns appear, merging and coming together as one.
