What makes these workshops different?
Our workshops merge theory and practice, peer learning, and feedback from different professionals tailored to your art practice. This tailored focus makes the difference. There is not a solution which fits all, and being able to effectively communicate to an audience, jury, gallerist or curator makes a big difference when you are trying to progress and build a career in the arts.
At the end of our workshop, you will have an artist statement, portfolio or artist residency application that clearly presents your artistic research & be able to adapt them to the recipients. You will have a toolkit that you can use whenever you need it.
With a limited number of participants, we help you find the models and language that best suit which are best suited & language which fits your own work.
“I feel very encouraged and energized to proceed with my path. I’ve got very important insights and feel much more confident when it comes to applications and presenting my work”
“Changes your mindset, gives you tools for action, helps you understand how to proceed and why, gives you awareness and confidence. Motivation and energy to continue working without fear.”
Can they help me in the long-term?
Yes, definitely. Our workshops provide solid frameworks & toolkits which you can use whenever needed. We believe it is important to allow you to control your own narrative, and know that your practice can evolve over time.
Having provided coaching sessions & trainings to artists for over 10 years, and receiving regular updates from ex participants and alumni, we are fully aware that the workshops have a long-term positive impact on their careers.
“Thanks for all your support. It looks like all the things we learnt with you really pays off in the years” (artist nominated for the Förderpreise of the city of Munich & selected for a residency)
What is the difference between the workshop and the feedback session?
Some of our workshops are divided into two parts: the workshop and feedback session/ review. The workshop is theoretical, however it includes very practical examples and exercises. It is all about understanding the models, frameworks & know-hows. All the essential points which can help you in the feedback session/ review. This second session helps you figure out what the best options are for you & find your own voice.
We help you write and edit your artist statement, have expert portfolio reviews and provide specific feedback on artist residency applications that you may be working on. They are reviewed by experts who will support you in making them specific to your art practice in relation to call or recipient. In the portfolio feedback session, you even present your portoflio to different curators, galleries and jury members.
“It was great to get feedback from different people with different points of view!
Incredibly helpful and I liked that there was the possibility to discuss everything afterwards.”
