Are you an artist with plans for a new work, a project, an exhibition or a collaboration? Curator or cultural professional with plans for a research project?

Your project might fit within the grants of the Municipality of Maastricht, or you might be eligible for one of the schemes of the Mondriaan Fund.

We are organising an informative meeting on the possibilities and impossibilities of the grants of the Municipality of Maastricht and the Mondriaan Fund, the national public fund for visual art and cultural heritage.

In this session, led by Ronja Terwindt from The Artist and the Others, Rebecca Nelemans, Regional Agent of the Mondriaan Fund, will explain what funding schemes they have for artists or curators. Two artists from Limburg who have been honoured the Mondriaan Fund will join the conversation: Floor Martens and Sanne Vaassen. After this, Marlo Saalmink, Policy Advisor for the Municipality of Maastricht, will talk about the schemes for artists living and working in Maastricht. The information session will end with an open conversation and Q&A.

Wij organiseren een informatie bijeenkomst over de mogelijkheden en onmogelijkheden van de subsidies van de Gemeente Maastricht en het Mondriaan Fonds, het nationale publieke fonds voor beeldende kunst en erfgoed.

In deze sessie, geleid door Ronja Terwindt van The Artist and the Others, legt Rebecca Nelemans, regiomakelaar bij het Mondriaan Fonds, uit welke regelingen zij hebben voor kunstenaars of curatoren. Twee Limburgse kunstenaars aan wie het Mondriaan Fonds is toegekend, gaan met haarr in gesprek: Floor Martens en Sanne Vaassen. Daarna vertelt Marlo Saalmink, beleidsadviseur voor de Gemeente Maastricht, over de regelingen voor kunstenaars die in Maastricht wonen en werken. De informatiesessie wordt afgesloten met een open gesprek en vragen en antwoorden.

Rebecca Nelemans
Rebecca Nelemans is a freelance art historian, curator, author and regional agent for the Southern Netherlands, representing the provinces of Limburg, North Brabant and Zeeland. // Rebecca Nelemans is freelance kunsthistorica, curator, auteur en regiomakelaar voor Zuid-Nederland en vertegenwoordigt de provincies Limburg, Noord-Brabant en Zeeland. 

Marlo Saalmink
Marlo Saalmink is an artist, curator and visual arts policy advisor for the Municipality of Maastricht. // Marlo Saalmink is kunstenaar, curator en beleidsadviseur Beeldende Kunst voor de Gemeente Maastricht.

Floor Martens
Floor Martens is a visual artist and received the Artist Start scheme from Mondriaan Fund in 2022. // Floor Martens is beeldend kunstenaar en ontving in 2022 de Artist Start regeling van het Mondriaan Fonds.

Sanne Vaassen
Sanne Vaassen is a visual artist and received the then Young Talent Work Grant in 2015 and the Proven Talent scheme from the Mondriaan Fund in 2019. // Sanne Vaassen is beeldend kunstenaar en ontving in 2015 de toenmalige Werkbeurs Jong Talent en in 2019 de Bewezen Talent regeling van het Mondriaan Fonds. 

Ronja Terwindt
Ronja Terwindt is head of Production at The Artist and the Others. Alongside this she works as a freelance arts professional developing projects and customised solutions to support creatives. // Ronja Terwindt is hoofd Productie bij The Artist and the Others. Daarnaast werkt ze als freelance kunstprofessional aan het ontwikkelen van projecten en maatwerkoplossingen om creatieven te ondersteunen.
