Dealing with uncertainty? An artistic and cultural career is one of the most rewarding paths you can choose. It is also one of the most uncertain.
The unpredictability of opportunities, the budget cuts, the pressure to constantly reinvent and prove yourself, the competitions — these are not small things. For many artists and cultural professionals, this uncertainty quietly accumulates over time, showing up as anxiety, self-doubt, or the thought of quitting for a more financially sustainable career.
Sometimes it leads to bigger questions: Am I on the right path? Can I keep doing this? Is this sustainable?
These feelings are real, and they are far more common than we talk about.
But what if uncertainty didn’t have to feel like something to survive? What if we could learn to move through it with steadiness, with clarity, and even with confidence?
That is exactly what this workshop is about.
On July the 3rd, we are joined by Amayah Pelegrin for a two-hour session designed specifically for artists. Together, we will explore how to stop fighting uncertainty and start building an inner framework that helps you navigate the art world — and your career — on your own terms.
In this workshop, we will cover:
- Why uncertainty is difficult, and what our current experience of uncertainty is.
- How to create space for the feelings that uncertainty provokes, and healthy strategies for processing rather than avoiding them.
- How to create a sense of inner safety and certainty, even when external circumstances are uncertain.
- Uncovering resources within us for how to approach uncertainty that works specifically for each one of you, even if your approach is different.
- Practical steps and actions to take away.
