This workshop will provide you with the knowledge, skills & tools you need when applying for an artist residency.
We will analyse what types of artist residencies exist in Europe and beyond, how to find them, what to look for and how to choose one which suits you as an artist. We will break down the documentation required and funding of artist residencies, looking at how artists can cover expenses connected to the residency, travel and where to turn for support.
As well as getting to know all the practicalities and learning the theory in the workshop (18/11), artists can receive individual feedback on applications they may be working on in the second session (9/12).
This Workshop + Feedback package is specifically tailored to provide comprehensive frameworks, specific knowledge on artist residencies for emerging artists, tailored feedback based on applications, expert advice, and includes tips and tricks directly from experienced artists.
At the end of the workshop you will receive a toolkit you can refer to whenever you need it!
!! We highly recommend artists to attend both the workshops and the feedback session (included in the Workshop + Feedback package or comprehensive Semester bundle). The unique opportunity to receive tailored feedback from our experts can give you the tools you need to develop a strong application for your next artist residency. !!
