Tired of working at your kitchen table? Missing inspiration? Looking for other professionals to collaborate with? Common Knowledge #4 talks about creating a collective workspace in Maastricht.
In previous Common Knowledge meetings cultural professionals from the region told us they need a collective office. A space that serves as a creative working environment and can provide the basis for an active professional community. A community that supports each other.
The scene was set with glühwein and christmas lights at contemporary art space The Ridder. Invited as examples and inspiration for the brainstorm were Brecht Soenen, founder of De Dingen in Kortrijk (BE), and Bart Temme of Cuttin’ Class and initiator of Schinkelstraat 13 and Carbon 6 in Heerlen (NL).
After their enthusiastic presentations we discussed creating a collective workspace, where you can connect with other creatives, where you get inspired by a multidisciplinary working atmosphere, that offers you an office space for an affordable price and that is open to everyone from all sectors.
