Edition #1 – Text

On 26 september Common Knowledge #1 took place in the Belvedere offices in Maastricht. This first edition in the form of a presentation evening served as introduction to the Common Knowledge series which will go on until June 2014.

Guest speakers were Patricia Graf and Fabian Seibert from Designmetropole Aachen, young freelancer Guus van Engelshoven, gallerista Sophie Bargmann, writer and poet Amber Helena Reisig, project manager Marie Claire Krell and videographer Tim Rutten. The audience heard six very different, yet familiar stories – stories of career choices, ideas becoming reality and the challenges of young cultural professionals. It was an insightful evening that set out to present people who are dealing with ‘cultural entrepreneurship’ in their day to day work.
