Common Knowledge #6 – The Creative Start-up kit

As a young art professional there are a few skills you need to get ahead in the art scene. Like project-based collaborations or financial structure. The workshops and lecture of Common Knowledge #6 will give you everything you need for a good creative start-up. The workshops take place in the morning and afternoon at the Faculty of Art and Social Sciences. Please note that places for the workshops are limited, so it is important you register! To register, send a message to mail@common-knowledge.co and let us know in what workshop and in which language you want to participate. Attending the lecture and workshops is for free.

Through this method you can quickly and clearly write down your own story. During CK#6 he teaches you to write a text that represents your vision and makes it perfectfor social media like LinkedIn.

The Coach&Co workshop “Project-based Collaboration” focuses on professional creativity within multidisciplinary collaboration.Daan Wierenga invites participants to search for project-based collaboration within their professional network, with local governments and social partners.  On the basis of social developments and a project document, participants can tune in on creative possibilities, realistic goals and practical results.

As a starter there are many questions when it comes to finances. Good advice is as good as gold. Ron van der Vorst will give an introduction into all financial and administrational aspects you need to consider as a starter. He will also answer all your questions on the topic.

Voordekunst.nl is the first and most successful crowdfunding website for art projects in the Netherlands. This year the platform celebrates its third birthday and it already collected almost 4 million euro’s with which over 600 projects were financed. Nico Voskamp of Voordekunst.nl explains how you can use crowdfunding and why its so successful for arts and culture projects.
