“Fail, fail better, FAIL AGAIN” – Samuel Beckett
For the last edition of Common Knowledge on failure, we cooperate with IBA Parkstad for an evening fulfilled with a presentation and open discussion about the perception of failure in young people (18-35). What are young entrepreneurs afraid of?
We invited Nikita Gaur to present a research that ThinkYoung initiative developed in 2013 “Overcoming the stigma of Failure”
Over the years, ThinkYoung have reached the conclusion that cultural barriers, such as the stigma of failure, need to be overcome in order to boost youth entrepreneurship. Think Young is convinced that entrepreneurs, whether prospective or experienced, are facing a mix of both social and institutional pressures that cast a shadow over their future entrepreneurial activities.
For this reason, in 2013 they launched the campaign Fail2Succeed with the goal of changing the perception of business failure.
What are young entrepreneurs afraid of? What can we learn from other stories and their research? How artists and cultural professionals perceive failure?
Join us, for an inspiring discussion night with other creatives and learn about the perception of entrepreneurship on an european level!
