The Betahuis offers space for working, inspiration and meeting people. It is situated in the city centre of Heerlen at Wilhelminaplein 25. For Common Knowledge #8 we made use of the Beta@arena, a characteristic conference hall, which proved to be perfect for the presentations about the usefulness of internet for cultural professionals.
The conference hall can be rented for different purposes and the cafe Tribune offers fairtrade coffee and tea, as well as drinks and free wifi. While many freelancers are working in the building, there are also some educational initiatives for young people situated in the Betahuis.
You can rent one of the offices in the building and get inspired by the great co-working atmosphere. Also, it is possible to simply work in the cafe, whenever it suits you. The Betahuis offers flexible space for creatives and is described as “a place where creative entrepreneurs can meet and inspire each other”. Interested?
