Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am Anya Liesnik, CEO & fashion designer of a young luxury fashion brand “LA”. My fashion collections are inspired by the charismatic style of iconic women. They are always very feminin and nostalgic at the same time.
What would you consider your distinctive achievement?
I think the ability to build my brand following my vision and stay true to myself.
What are the qualities needed to be able to achieve this?
Hard work, a strong vision of what you want to achieve… the ability to dream!
What are you looking forward to?
I am always looking forward to create exciting collections. To make an almost impossible mix between ready to wear garments and my fantasy. This is always an exciting competition between my wish that people wear my designs in their avery day life, and the desire to create something art-fashioned, Haute Couture, that can only be worn once, but, would stay in people’s minds for a long time.
Which advice would you give to the other professional?
If you want to transform yourself into a full time brand, try to do every part of your tasks in a professional way. But don’t forget to feel good and please about the work you’ve done, otherwise you will loose the dream behind your you-brand.
What are the challenges that we need to overcome to make ‘cultural entrepreneurship’ more accessible?
I think the only way is to go on. It needs to become something “usual”, not something outstanding. So people are used to think about ‘entrepreneurship’ as a part of their lives. Perhaps then, more and more people would take time to understand that it is already part of their ‘normal’ daily life, nothing extra-ordinary.
